STEVE RICHARDS RACING STABLES

Based at Flemington in Victoria, the home of the Melbourne Cup and arguably Australia's "Centre of Racing", Steve Richards has been training Thoroughbred racehorses for over 20 years.

Stable Foreman Glen Dorol was a professional jockey for 18 years and rides all of the stable horses in trackwork and jumpouts.

Jamie Coman - Showjumping

Jamie is an Australian National Showjumping Coach and has been involved with horses both as a rider and coach for many years. His riding career highlight to date has been representing Australia in the Showjumping Team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

RYAN WOOD - Eventing

Ryan Wood is a rising star in the competitive world of Eventing and rides his 13 year old chestnut gelding Koyuna Azgard. Ryan owns and operates Woodstock Eventing based at South Maroota near the Hawkesbury Valley in outer Sydney.

KENT WELLS - Polocrosse

Kent Wells is a professional farrier with 20 years experience, specializing in foal correction and yearling preparation. Kent has been playing Polocrosse since he was 11years old, representing Queensland in 1977, 78, 80, 86, 88, 92, 96, 98, 2004 and 2006. Kent has played Polocrosse for Australia in 1994 and 2001 and was the Australian Men’s Polocrosse team coach in 2005.

STUART TINNEY - Olympian

Gold medal event rider, Stuart Tinney, is the consummate equestrian professional. In a tough and difficult sport, Stuart continues to produce incredible results, beautifully schooled horses and well trained pupils. In the competition arena, Stuart has had more success than any other Australian rider based in this country. An Olympic gold medal from Sydney 2000, representative honors at the 2004 Athens Olympics and since 1988 at consecutive World Equestrian Games.

GILLIAN ROLTON - Olympian

The highlight of Gillian ’s riding career was to be the first Australian Equestrian Female to win a medal at International level. The two time Olympian and her wonderful horse, Peppermint Grove won consecutive gold medals in the teams Three-Day event –in Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996.

RICHARD RICE - Showing

My history with in the equine industry originated with harness racing, starting off with pony trots I graduated on to become a qualified reinsman. Always wanting to have an interest in showing and riding led me to start showing my standard breds at some of the local breed shows. This is where I got the showing bug.

HEATH & KRISSY HARRIS - A unique pair of equestrians

This versatile duo has made its mark both here and overseas. Heath has been training horses for the movie business for forty years – Australian classics such as ‘Phar Lap’, ‘The Man From Snowy River’, ‘Breaker Morant’, up to international features including ‘Running Free’, ‘Racing Stripes’, ‘Return of the Black Stallion’ and ‘Legend of Zorro’.

JUDY DIERKS - Dressage

Level II E.F.A. N.C.A.S. Dressage Specialist Coach Sept. 1997 Member of the Australian Team World Equestrian Games 1994 in THE HAGUE (Holland).

CHRIS CHUGG - Showjumping, Coaching

Chris Chugg is a showjumper and level 3 coach. He lives at Glossodia NSW and runs the ‘Diamond B Farm’ agistment and training centre. He has been an elite showjump rider for 25 years, winning his first of 30 World Cup qualifiers in 1982.

GINA BECK - Showing

Show Horse Rider and Trainer, Gina has been training horses professionally since the age of 14, and having won many top accolades, now concentrates her efforts on a small team of top quality horses for private clients.
